Why book the whole Hideaway
When you book the whole site, you get something most glamping properties can't offer — total privacy. No other guests sharing the hot tub. No strangers walking through the gardens. No "communal" anything. Just your group, the gates closed behind you, and the whole place to yourselves.
That's what makes us different. The pods, the Shore House, the Shebeen, the Wee Céilí House, the hot tub, the fairy gardens and An Bothan function room are all yours for the duration of your stay. Set up however you want. Use as little or as much of the space as suits your group.
We're 15 minutes from Derry city — close enough for guests flying into City of Derry Airport (22 minutes), Belfast International (80 minutes) or driving up from Dublin (3 hours). Far enough that once you're through the gates, the rest of the world feels a bit further away.
Pat and Gráinne don't live on site. Once you arrive, the whole property is yours — no hosts in the next-door cottage, no curtain-twitching, no shared spaces. They're a phone call away for anything urgent, and will meet you on arrival, but otherwise the place is genuinely your group's for the weekend.

The Girls' Weekend
The whole site, just for you and the girls. Hen weekends, friends' reunions, milestone birthdays with your favourite people, mum-and-daughters trips, fortieth birthday weekends. Decorate the Shebeen, take over the hot tub, walk the fairy gardens, spend a proper morning in the kitchen together. The gates close, the world fades, and the weekend is genuinely yours.
The Milestone
Reunions, landmark birthdays, anniversaries and family celebrations — everyone under one roof. 50ths, 60ths, 70ths. Family reunions where the grandparents, parents and kids all want to be together but also want their own space. Children warmly welcomed for full-site bookings.
The Away Day
Strategy sessions, team building, leadership offsites and rewarding your people — away from the office, close to Derry. An Bothan as a dedicated meeting room with 75" smart TV and screen sharing. Quiet pods for the evening, the hot tub for unwinding, the Shebeen for the team dinner.
The Reset
Yoga, pilates, mindfulness and restoration in a fully private nature setting. Bring your own instructor or use ours. An Bothan as a dedicated studio space, the covered hot tub and ice bath for the wellness circuit, the gardens for grounding walks. Set up for instructor-led residential programmes.
An Bothan — your function room
An Bothan is what sets us apart from most glamping sites. A proper indoor space — wood-beamed, characterful, set up for whatever your group needs. Strategy sessions and presentations during the day. Yoga and pilates in the morning. Movie nights, screened wedding videos, photo slideshows or karaoke nights in the evening.
The 75" smart TV handles screen sharing for corporate use, streaming for family movie nights, or full-volume karaoke when the weekend hits its peak. Wired and wireless connectivity throughout.
For full-site buyouts, An Bothan is included as part of the package — no extra hire fee, no booking around other groups.

Group bookings FAQs
How does full-site exclusive hire work?
We close the whole site to other guests for the duration of your stay. You get exclusive access to all four pods, the Shore House (sleeps 8), An Bothan function room with 75" smart TV, the covered hot tub, the Shebeen BYOB bar, the Wee Ceili House outdoor area and all the grounds. Total capacity is 20 guests sleeping comfortably.
Will there be anyone else on the property during our stay?
No — when you book the whole site, the property is genuinely yours. Pat and Gráinne don't live on site, so there's nobody in a neighbouring cottage. They'll meet you on arrival, walk you through the place, and are a phone call away for anything urgent — but otherwise the gates close behind you and the weekend is yours.
What's the minimum stay for a group?
Two nights, year-round. Most groups book Friday to Sunday for weekends. Mid-week is available and often a better deal for corporate or wellness retreats.
How are sleeping arrangements split?
The Shore House has 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 8 (two doubles upstairs, plus a downstairs bedroom with a double bed and a double sofa bed). The four pods each have a king-size bed and a single bed, sleeping up to 3 per pod. Different groups split the rooms in different ways — couples take pods, friends/family share the Shore House, the bride or birthday-celebrant often takes the downstairs double room. We're happy to advise on the best split for your group.
Can we have food and drink brought in?
Yes — full-site bookings are typically self-catering, with the Shore House kitchen (Stanley range, full equipment) and a communal kitchen for pod guests. We work with local caterers for groups wanting breakfast, BBQ evenings, full celebration dinners or wellness catering. Mention catering on enquiry and we'll set you up with the right local supplier.
Are children welcome for group bookings?
Yes — children are warmly welcomed for full-site exclusive bookings. The site is fully gated and private once you're through the entrance, with plenty of space for kids in the gardens, the fairy path and the wider grounds. Most family gatherings end up with kids spending most of the day outdoors and adults using An Bothan and the Shebeen.
