Yoga, pilates, mindfulness and restoration — in a fully private nature setting on the Inishowen Peninsula.
Running a residential retreat takes more than a good programme. It takes the right space — somewhere private enough that your clients can fully switch off, practical enough that you can teach properly, and comfortable enough that people want to come back.
The Hideaway gives you all three. An Bothan, our dedicated studio space, is yours for the duration — floor space for yoga and pilates, natural light, a 75" screen for guided sessions or presentations, and a private entrance away from the sleeping accommodation. The rest of the site wraps around it: four pods and the Shore House sleeping up to 20, a covered hot tub and ice bath for cold water therapy, the fairy gardens and grounds for outdoor sessions, and the Shebeen for the evenings.
Bring your own group, or bring your clients. The whole site is yours — no other guests, no noise, no distractions. Just the work, the water and the Inishowen Peninsula.
Exclusive use of the whole Hideaway, sleeping up to 20:
· An Bothan studio space — large floor area, natural light, 75" screen, private entrance. Set up for yoga, pilates, breathwork or mindfulness sessions
· Covered hot tub and ice bath — for contrast therapy, cold water immersion and guided wellness circuits
· All four pods, each sleeping up to 3 — private, comfortable, tucked into the gardens
· The Shore House — a restored 1895 period home sleeping up to 8
· The Wee Ceili House with open fire — for evening sessions, journalling or group reflection
· The Shebeen — BYOB bar with wood-burning stove, for when the programme calls for a proper evening
· The enchanting fairy gardens, wildlife pond and grounds — for outdoor sessions and morning walks
· A fully private, gated site
Minimum two nights. Bring your own instructor, or we can arrange one.
We can help you build a full retreat programme before you arrive, so everything is in place when your clients get through the gates.
· Yoga and pilates instructor — if you don't have your own, we can arrange an experienced instructor to lead sessions in An Bothan or the gardens.
· Reflexology treatments — a reflexologist can come to the site and offer individual treatments to your guests. A popular addition to a full wellness weekend.
· Muff Liquor Company — for a retreat that includes a mindful evening out, we've partnered with the distillery five minutes down the road. Groups staying with us can enjoy a special rate on tours — ask us for details when you book.
· E-bikes to your door — Inishowen Bike Hire will drop their e-bikes to The Hideaway. A morning cycle along the peninsula makes a perfect active session between classes.
· Plant-based and wellness catering — we work with local caterers who can provide healthy, diet-specific menus for the duration of your retreat. Just tell us your requirements when you enquire.
· Yoga and pilates instructors running residential retreats for paying clients
· Wellness coaches and therapists bringing a private group
· Mindfulness, breathwork and meditation retreats
· Burnout recovery and digital detox weekends
· Women's wellness weekends and self-care getaways
· Any group that needs to properly stop, breathe and reset
"What an amazing stay. We hired out the entire place — there are multiple spaces to hang out on the property, making it a great spot for a group. The hosts Gráinne and Pat were so helpful and warm. We will be back!"

Is An Bothan suitable as a yoga or pilates studio?
Yes. An Bothan has a good floor area, natural light, a private entrance and a 75" screen for guided sessions or video content. It's set up as a function room by default but can be cleared for movement classes. Let us know your requirements when you enquire and we'll have it ready.
Do I need to bring my own instructor?
No — we can arrange a yoga or pilates instructor to come to the site if you don't have your own. We can also arrange a reflexologist for individual treatments. Just mention it when you enquire.
Can you cater for specific dietary requirements?
Yes — we work with local caterers who can accommodate plant-based, gluten-free and other dietary needs. Tell us your requirements when you enquire and we'll match you with the right caterer.
How private is the site?
Completely private. The whole site is gated, and when you book The Reset no other guests are on site. Pat and Gráinne don't live on site — once you're through the gates, the place is yours. No interruptions, no noise from neighbouring accommodation.
What's the minimum stay?
Two nights, year-round. Most retreat programmes run over a full weekend (Friday to Sunday) or a midweek block (Monday to Wednesday).
