The hardest part of a big family celebration is finding somewhere everyone fits. Somewhere the grandparents are comfortable, the kids can run around, and the adults can sit up late without waking anyone. Somewhere you're all together, but not on top of each other.
The Hideaway is built for exactly that. Book The Milestone and the whole site is yours — the Shore House for the family at the heart of it, four pods spread around the gardens for couples and smaller groups, and a whole site of shared spaces in between. The hot tub, the Shebeen, An Bothan for a screened slideshow or the speeches, the fire pit for the kids and the marshmallows, the fairy gardens for the early-morning wanderers.
It's a fully gated, private site, so once you're through the gates the children can roam and you can relax. Fifteen minutes from Derry, easy for family travelling in from City of Derry Airport, Belfast or Dublin. One place, the whole family, a proper celebration.

We can help fill the weekend with as much or as little as you like, all arranged before you arrive.
·· Muff Liquor Company — we've partnered with the multi-award-winning distillery just five minutes down the road. Groups staying with us can enjoy a special rate on distillery tours and cocktail-making classes — ask us for the details when you book.
· Catering & celebration dinners — from a relaxed BBQ to a full sit-down celebration meal, with a birthday or anniversary cake if you'd like one. We work with trusted local caterers and chefs.
· E-bikes to your door — Inishowen Bike Hire will drop their e-bikes to The Hideaway once you've booked, so the family can explore the peninsula and the greenway straight from the gates.
· Yoga or pilates morning — an instructor can come to you in An Bothan or the gardens, a gentle start for whoever's up for it.
· Reflexology treatments — a reflexologist can come to the site and give treatments on request, a quiet bit of pampering for the grown-ups.
· Outdoor games, a movie night setup in An Bothan, or a Paint, Pass & Prosecco afternoon for the grown-ups — all easily arranged. Just tell us what you'd like when you enquire.

Family Gathering FAQs
Are children welcome?
Yes — children are warmly welcomed on full-site bookings. The whole site is gated and private once you're through the entrance, with plenty of space in the gardens, the fairy path and the grounds for kids to roam safely.
How do we arrange the sleeping for a mixed-age group?
The Shore House (sleeps 8) usually suits the immediate family or grandparents — it has two doubles upstairs and a downstairs room with a double and a double sofa bed. The four pods (sleeping up to 3 each) work well for couples and smaller groups. We'll happily help you plan who goes where.
Can we have a celebration dinner or cake?
Yes — we work with local caterers who can do everything from a relaxed BBQ to a full celebration dinner, and we can arrange a birthday or anniversary cake. Mention it when you enquire and we'll sort the details.
Is there space for speeches or a slideshow?
An Bothan, our function room, has a 75" smart TV — ideal for speeches, a photo slideshow, a family quiz or a movie night for the kids. It comfortably holds the whole group.
What's the minimum stay?
Two nights, year-round.
How far is it for family travelling in?
Fifteen minutes from Derry city, twenty-two from City of Derry Airport, eighty minutes from Belfast International, and around three hours twenty from Dublin. An easy meeting point for family coming from different directions.
